France Part Un

Wow...I'm only a little behind these days.  In June, we had the pleasure of going to France with our friends the Chungs, it was lots of fun.  We started out the trip with a couple of days in Paris by ourselves.  Our first day we just walked around Paris and then went to bed early due to the jet lag.  Olivia was such a champ on the flight and with the sighseeing.  She only had a few hours sleep but acted like she had a full night!  The following day we got up early and headed to the Louvre....

It was raining and this is the line that was wrapped around the courtyard....because we had Olivia and a stroller - we got to go to the front of the line!
Here is some of the artwork we saw:

By the time we left (several hours later....) it was nice and sunny!
After the Louvre, we went back to our hotel for a short breather and then headed out again in search of dinner on our way to the Centre Pompidou.  The Pompidou was so much fun.  Here is some the great things we saw there:

(this was a crazy cave thing you could walk in)

The next morning was Olivia's 2nd birthday.  She started out the day eating yogurt at the hotel:
We then headed to the train station for our train to Onzain to meet Karen, Bernie and Tyler.  When we got to Onzain, it was good timing.  We got off the train, got our luggage together and were trying to figure out where to wait when we saw Karen.  We all loaded into the car (after Andrew and Bernie rearranged all our luggage so it would fit!) and headed to the campsite.  Karen and I went and picked up groceries at the store at the campsite and made a pasta dinner for us all.  After dinner we had some flan and some sort of chocolate pie and some chocolate.  The birthday girl was in heaven!

This is us relaxing around the table drinking wine with our dessert.  Such a fabulous way to start our vacation!
