Thanksgiving

The Sadler's were nice and relaxed on Turkey day.  It was just the three of us, so we had a small meal.  I cooked a small meal - turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and made rolls.  I had made a pie the day before, so it was pretty easy.  After we ate, we all took a 3 hour nap - ah, that was fantastic!  After our nap, we had a small snack and played.  Olivia and I were going to California on Friday - so I started to pack and get ready for our trip.

Friday morning we got up and Oli and I left Andrew to go to California to see Aunt Helen, Uncle Chuck, Cousins Aaron and Andrew, Nonni, Opa and Uncle Eric.  The good ole LBC was nice and warm - nothing like the rainy, cold Seattle we left! : )

On Friday, we just hung around the house and had turkey leftovers.  After Olivia went to bed, I went to the bar with my cousins Aaron and Andrew and my brother.  I had a great time - but was reminded at what a light weight I am!  Aaron's girlfriend Sara (She was working) had to to bring me a soda after one beer! (although in my defense I did have one with dinner earlier in the evening...)  Saturday, we ended up going to the aquarium.

After the aquarium we headed back to the house to relax before leaving the following day.

Here we are with Uncle Chuck

Reading my new puzzle book with Nonni - Thanks Aunt Helen and Uncle Chuck for the book!

Same chair remote, but this time with Cousin Andrew

What a fantastic trip.  Too bad it was so short!

The next morning we got up super early and headed to the airport for our trip back to Seattle.  Andrew met us at the airport and we headed home.  It was nice to be back home, but we missed our family already, and Olivia still keeps asking to go on the plane again!

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving filled with lots of love, food and things to be thankful for.  I know the Sadler's were.

  1. Don't know why I missed this last week. Looks like you had a great time in Cali! Poor Andrew had to miss it :) Love Oli's hair these days!
